| The opening of the 4th exhibition of the Young French Painting gathered the flower of our young painters, each having come to see his works and those of his friends. It is an exhibition that has a meaning and its raison d'être. We had to be able to follow the development of an essentially French art and a small exhibition can achieve this goal much better than a fair. Here, each one shows a single canvas or, sometimes, two small ones, but canvases which have never appeared in any of the big Salons in Paris. It seems that these paintings were chosen with love, that the painters had at heart to be represented in a meaningful way. This shows the interest of the exhibition since the exhibitors are the painters Asselin, Bischop, Blissière, Blot, Boussingault, Bonnard, Braque, Camoin, Chabaud, Charlot, Charmy, Corneau, M. Denis, Derain, Dufy, Durey , Favory, F. Trochain, Flandrin, Fournier, de la Fresnaye, Friesz, Gernez, Girieud, Guérin, Laboureur, Lacoste, Laprade, Laurencin, Lhote, Lombard, Lotiron, B. Mahn, G.
