| We know that nine painted panels, the execution of which has been entrusted to Guillaumet, Rapin and Marret, will adorn the interior of the Cour des Métiers, which Mr. Charles Plumier erects at the end of the Cour des Invalides. Primarily, these nine panels were to be executed in fresco and the sketched projects had been requested from seven artists sharing the work: Back wall (from left to right: The religious arts (Alfred Lombard), The arts of life (Pierre Girieud), The arts of death (Georges Dufrénoy).
Left wall (from left to right): The arts of fire (Pierre Farrey), The parure (André Favory), The rustic arts (Marcel Roche.
Right wall (from left to right): Metal arts (Alfred Lombard), Stone arts (Pierre Girieud), Wood arts (Louis Riou).
None of these nine projects has been accepted. All of them, however, were interesting. We produce two taken at random.
